The second edition of SCD was made official last February in Rome in an exclusive setting: the meeting between Confindustria and Pope Francis, who gathered Italian companies in the Vatican for the first time. Seven thousand entrepreneurs met with Pope Francis to celebrate the so called “Giubileo dell’Industria” (Industry Jubilee). The greater evil is the “globalization of indifference”, said Pope Francis opening the meeting. Not only referring to immigrants, but to the unemployed, wars, and all kinds of injustice. The world has a long-term challenge: to create a network of solidarity, “creative” for the companies and “distributive” for the institutions. Also Raul Cavalli attended the meeting as chairman of Easy Care Foundation, the ONG organizer of Social Cohesion Days that, remembering the appointment with the festival, said: “Stop with the tyranny of GDP, we must invest in areas that create a sense of belonging in the civil society”. The Social Cohesion Days received the patronage of UNESCO, the European Parliament, the Italian Representation of the European Commission, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Emilia Romagna Region.
